Landowner of the majority of New Amsterdam and  Director General of New Netherlands (Manhatta) from the East Village (Kleindeutschland, the primarily German population that lived in the area in the late 1800s to early 1900s),Upper Westside to East & West of  Haarlem. Stuyvesant Town and more. When the British took over He still owned The Bowery, East Village in which he is buried in the Churchyard of  Saint Marks Church in the Bowery.
